STEPS TO TAKE TO REGULATE YOUR 🔆 VITAMIN AND CHOLESTEROL LEVELS
First off, if you haven’t checked my last few posts, PLEASE do so you can understand this better
.
1. If you are 🔅 deficient, do NOT supplement, because it can make things worse. Remember that just because the storage form of D low, does not mean that there isn’t anything wrong deeper. Having extra D accumulate in one’s body can become toxic, influence other nutrients, and of course over look the actual problem.
.
I suggest just going out in the sun every day, take a magnesium supplement (which we all need because it is barely in our soil anymore), be mindful of your vitamin A consumption (not beta carotene, retinol), and make sure to include some food that contain some saturated fat.
.
2. Take care of your liver! Why? Because that is where the D we get from the 🔅 is hydroxylated into our storage form D. THIS IS WHERE WE MAKE IT FIRST, and of course, is then sent to the kidneys to make hormone D. Conversely, most of your cholesterol is transformed into steroid hormones (D, sex and stress hormones) in there, as well as excretes excess LDL to balance levels. Lastly, ALL of these processes require active T3 (thyroid hormone) to actually HAPPEN, and guess what? The liver is where MOST of your inactive thyroid hormone is transformed into active!
.
Making sure you’re supplying the liver with all the necessary nutrients, enough energy, and gently detoxing it through a castor oil pack can do wonders!
.
3. Lastly, studies have shown stress and quality of food and lifestyle can influence these markers in a big way!
How? Well, if you’re stressed, you tend to use up a lot of your minerals, particularly magnesium and this can affect my first point.
.
Stress can also release free fatty acids from the tissues which can leave them susceptible to oxidizing. Conversely, sleep is restorative and when the liver is MOST ACTIVE, so you can only imagine how sluggish your liver can become from one night of poor sleep, In addition, eating whole foods that are void of extra iron fortification, oxidized PUFAs and food additives, etc. Lastly, avoid EMFs if you can because THAT is a big stress on us!
