THE DUTCH TEST IS THE BEST WHEN TESTING HORMONES.
Why?
Let’s get into it⬇️
DUTCH, also short for Dry Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones, is a urine test that allows us to check the values of our cortisol awakening response (also known as CAR or diurnal cortisol pattern), our free cortisol and free cortisone effects, our metabolized cortisol, our androgens and androgen pathways, our 3 estrogens and the way they’re metabolized, our 8OHdG (an oxidative stress marker), melatonin levels and organic acids.
.
The reason dry urine is so much more profound than blood and saliva is for a few reasons:
🔹️ Blood is simply a high way for hormones, meaning it will not show the levels of hormones the body is making, storing, or excreting.
🔹️In some cases, particularly with cortisol, blood only provides a snap shot in time- rather with urine, it follows a circadian rhythm which is important to note when comparing cortisol levels. Saliva will not be able to test metabolized cortisol, which is important because it is 80% of what we produce.
🔹️With urine, we are able to see which pathways our androgens and estrogens go down, which can help us understand a client’s root cause issue.
.
This test is ideal for individuals struggling with PMS, PCOS, irregular or missing cycles, fertility issues, perimenopause or menopause, men with hormonal issues, adrenal insufficiency, thyroid problems, fatigue, insomnia, stress, obesity, mood issues and more.
.
In many cases, most people’s issues stem from some sort of metabolic issues affecting stress hormones, as well as sex hormones thus making this lab quite useful. This can stem from a nutrient deficiency, undernourishment, heavy metal toxicity, a gut pathogen, a trauma, and so forth.
.
Results will show up with ranges for particular ages depending on the sex of the client, as we as a weighted average.
.
Have you ever gotten a blood or saliva test to have nothing show up or have results that didn’t help you?
