How to Communicate Safety to Your Body

HOW TO SIGNAL ‘SAFETY’ TO YOUR BODY?

Your body won’t heal if it feels like it is in constant danger. Things that perpetuate this cycle of having your body prioritize survival over functionality are things like under eating, over exercising, heavy metal toxicity, mental stress, blood sugar dysregulation, even a lack of community and friendships can cause the nervous system to react. We are very physical creatures that rely on each other to survive.

Anything that heightens our stress will in turn have the body stay in a sympathetic state which will then keep us from proper metabolic function.
And remember, our metabolism is the rate in which cells effectively and utilize energy, thus if our cells aren’t working because we’re too stressed to stay alive, then NOTHING I going to work.

Symptoms of a slow metabolism look like fatigue, inability to lose weight, no libido, sleep issues, digestive issues, anxiety, PMS, amenorrhea, low immune system, constantly feeling cold, brittle nails, dry skin, hair loss… the list can go on.
I’m sure you’re thinking now “But wait, doing just basic shit is ACTUALLY going to help my metabolism? Don’t I need a pill for that?”
No. You don’t. And here’s why: because stress is a state in which our bodies use up nutrient reserves as well as adjust the mechanism in which it works. A pill will NOT switch the state it is in nor will it replenish the nutrients our bodies are using up to survive.
Remember, your body is not ‘broken’, nor doe sit need to be ‘fixed’ as I stated in my stories a few days a go. All it needs is proper support.

So what can YOU do TODAY to start signaling toy our body SAFETY?
Eat every 3-4 hours balance, Balance Blood Sugar, Eat ENOUGH (not 1600 calories!!), Move your body in a way that makes you feel GOOD, Go OUTSIDE, Do grounding and feel the earth underneath your feet, Sleep 7-9 hours, Reach out to people, Find your community, Try some breathwork and Do your best in removing the stressors in your life.
