Ovulation Is The Whole Point To A Period!

OVULATION IS THE WHOLE POINT OF YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE
.
Here’s your reminder that JUST because you are bleeding every month, it DOES NOT mean that you are ovulating.
I am speaking to you who has cold hands and feet all the time.
You too, the girl on the left that is constantly “dry”.
And the one with her hair up in a bun, who has awful PMS every month.
And of course you, the one on the pill, that stuff has completely shut off your ability to ovulate
.
Anovulatory cycles are usually due to low levels of progesterone.
Progesterone is such an important hormone- BEYOND pregnancy which many people believe its usage is just for that because it is produced in high quantities by the placenta during pregnancy.
However, progesterone is beyond that.
.
First, let’s rewind and understand what exactly happens when we ovulate.
During our follicular phase, estrogen is on the rise to GROW that follicle. This requires a lot of energy to produce. Once that follicle is brought on and that egg DROPS during ovulation that empty egg sac becomes something called the corpus luteum which will then in the next 24 hours produce all the progesterone necessary for your whole luteal phase (lasting about 11-14 days).
If the egg is fertilized and pregnancy occurs, the corpus luteum then develops itself into the placenta to provide progesterone, hormones, nutrients, minerals all pregnancy.
LIKE WOW
.
Thus your progesterone levels are dependent on how robust your corpus luteum was!
But what is progesterone good for other than pregnancy?
It is anti cortisol, pro thyroid, helpful for sleep, anxiety, hair growth, bone protective, heart protective, brain protective… you guys, progesterone is the bomb
.
Question is, HOW DO WE ASSURE WE CAN OVULATE?
Balance your blood sugar, eat bio available protein, fats (particularly saturated),CARBS, eat ENOUGH, focus on mineral balancing (Big Four like Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium and Sodium) and other nutrients like vitamins A, C and E, optimize liver function (amino acids, b vitamins, antioxidant), support thyroid function (iodine, selenium, zinc, copper), prioritize sleep, and evaluate stress.
