WHAT YOU EAT DIRECTLY AFFECTS YOUR HORMONES
🔹️
The body is like a car, and just like a car, it needs a specific type of fuel to run. There are certain ways to fill a car up with fuel, and that fuel will enter the car and be processed in a specific manner so it can run accordingly.
We are the same.

So how does this link to your hormonal issues?
Well, your metabolism is the speed in which we convert energy, how effectively we do it, as well as how successful we are in delivering other chemical reactions in the body:
🔹️Our ability to digest and absorb nutrients
🔹️Proper thyroid and adrenal function
🔹️Balancing blood sugar
🔹️Mediating inflammation
🔹️Removing waste from the body
🔹️Secreting enzymes
🔹️AND producing hormones to signal to other cells on how to function
.
Yup, your hormones are directly impacted by how your CELLS are nourished and how well that process of getting energy into the cell goes, for the way we nourish OURSELVES will also nourish our CELLS.
.
If we don’t eat properly (not eating enough carbs, too much fiber, too many foods with antinutrients, unstable fats like pufas, not enough bioavailable protein), this stresses the body out which can create a cascade effect of increasing stress hormones, which then has the body prioritize main bodily functions, which then imbalances our hormones (because our menstrual cycle isn’t important enough to keep us alive), which can suppress other hormonal systems like our thyroid and adrenals, which slows our metabolism. Conversely, stressing the body out and not giving it the proper nutrients to feed itself reduces stomach acidity (leaving us susceptible to pathogens and an inability to break down food), which also reduces our secretion of enzyme production (thus not secreting bile or having our liver work to process through toxins and managing blood sugar), as well as gut motility to remove waste out of the body. This can then cause bacterial overgrowths, infections, dysbiosis, and other issues.
