
TEST FREE WAYS TO CHECK FOR LOW THYROID FUNCTION
Most people with low thyroid present with early stages of sub clinical hypothyroidism and normal TSH. Symptoms come off as mild yet are disregarded.
Sadly, many practitioners also refuse to do a full thyroid panel on their patients when requested, so it is my job to empower you so you can do some self checking on yourselves!

🔹️Check your temperature. This is the number one sign that your thyroid function is low because
thyroid hormones are a central importance for thermogenesis, energy homeostasis and metabolism. The indication of cold extremities and low body temperature is a sign in which our body is purposely trying to reserve energy or lacks it due to a stressor. Ideally, you want a temperature between 36.6-37 Celsius.
🔹️Check your pulse rate, which should be between 70-85 bpm. Fitness adaption is different, and the majority of people, of whom have a lower heart rate, are actually dealing with an inability to use energy or their bodies are lacking the energy to do so. Again, energy conservation is a stress response on the body, and the number of times our heart will beat to pump blood through us will depend on how much its willing to use.
🔹️Check your bowel movements. You don’t have a fiber deficiency, your body is just in a low energy state or lacking active thyroid hormone to generate enough power to work the digestive system. You should be evacuating at least 1-3 times a day fully.
🔹️Check your appetite, particularly in the morning. An altered metabolism is likely to not work properly and send out the required signals, particularly the signal to let you know it needs more energy. Subtle signs like this mean enzymatic reactions, such as cell signaling responses, are not being synergized due to lack of thyroid hormone.
🔹️Check for ovulation. As noted, the ability to reproduce is not essential for one to stay alive, thus if our bodies have enough energy and thyroid hormone to have our cells enzymatically communicate and produce hormones for ovulation to occur, we are winning. Ways to check are through tracking a 0.6-1 degree spike in temperature, egg white cervical mucus, and cervical position.
