but in short, our adrenals are our FIRST line of defense when it comes to mitigating stress. Those tiny glands sitting on top of your kidneys regulate hormones like cortisol, aldosterone and adrenaline. When we’re taxed out and overly stressed, we tend to use up a lot of energy and nutrients, particularly potassium, sodium, vitamin C and magnesium.

.
Welcome in this adrenal cocktail. It’s a perfect way to replenish lost nutrients and provide yourself a pick-me-upper, especially when you’re healing from a chronic issue like a hormonal imbalance.
.
But what do these nutrients do?
Orange juice: Whole foods vitamin C- not that ascorbic acid stuff. Our adrenal glands run off vitamin C, which is why it is so important. Also, if you recall, I have spoken of how whole foods vitamin C also contains naturally occurring copper, which is a cofactor for several mechanisms in the body- particularly energy production.🍊
Coconut water: A great source of potassium and electrolytes that help balance pH levels, blood pressure, muscle contraction and more.🥥
Salt: A great source of sodium, again, helping with electrolyte balance, pH levels, carrying nutrients in and out of the cell, and reducing cortisol levels. Can use sea salt, but I use @redmondrealsalt 🧂

Trace minerals: A source of micro minerals we rarely get anymore, as well as magnesium. I highly suggest the @tracemineralsresearch brand.

The next time you’re stressed, TRY THIS and see how great you feel!
